BC Proxy Guide Video

How to login to Self Service:

  1. Visit the following link to login to Self Service: https://colss-prod.ec.bridgewater.edu/student
  2. Enter your full BC email address and click the Next button

  1. Enter the password to your BC proxy account and click Sign in

  1. If you see the following screen after clicking the Sign in button, it means you still need to set up your Bridgewater Security Profile. Click the Next button and follow the instructions to set up your Bridgewater Security Profile. A guide on how to set up your Bridgewater Security Profile can be found here

  1. You may be prompted for multi-factor authentication. Follow the prompt to authenticate via the preferred method you designated while setting up your Bridgewater Security Profile.

  1. Once successfully authenticated, you will be logged into Self Service and see the following pop-up box that lists your name and the student(s) you are a proxy for name(s).

How to switch between proxy account and student account:

  1. If you are currently in the student account and would like to switch to your proxy account, you will see a green banner at the top of the page that says “{Your name} acting on behalf of {student’s name}” with a “Change User” button. Click the change user button which will make the person proxy pop-up box appear. Click your name then click continue.

  1. If you are currently in your proxy account and would like to switch to the student account, click your username in the top right of Self Service then click Change Proxy User which will make the proxy pop-up boxy appear. Click the student’s name then click continue.

How to view student’s account summary:

  1. Click the student’s name you would like to view the account summary for on the Person Proxy pop-up box then click Continue

  1. Click Student Finance

  1. The Account Summary screen shows any overdue amounts, total amount due, and total account balance for each semester for the student

How to make a payment:

  1. Click the student’s name you would like to make a payment for on the Person Proxy pop-up box then click Continue

  1. Click Student Finance

  1. Click Make a Payment

  1. Click Choose a Payment Method and select which payment method you will be using

  1. Check the box next to the item you would like to pay

  1. Enter the amount you would like to pay

  1. Click Proceed to Payment button

  1. Review payment then press Pay Now button

  1. You will be redirected to a secure payment website. While being redirected, you will see the below screen

  1. Once redirected, you should see the following screen

  1. Follow the instructions provided to enter your card information. Below are the screens you should see and complete

  1. The payment will be posted and reflected in Self Service Account Summary in one business day (Payments made Friday-Sunday should be reflected in Self Service Account Summary on the following Monday)

How to view account activity:

  1. Click the student’s name you would like to make a payment for on the Person Proxy pop-up box then click Continue

  1. On the Account Activity screen, you can view payments made towards the accounts, refunds for the account, and balances. You can also click View Statement to view a PDF of the account statement

How to update your address(es), email address(es), phone number(s), and chosen name:

  1. Click your name on the person proxy pop-up box and click continue

  1. Click the person icon on the left navigation panel

  1. Click User Profile

  1. On the About You page, you will see information we currently have on file such as date of birth, chosen name, addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers. To edit your chosen name, click Edit Personal Identity and enter your desired chosen first, middle, and/or last name then click save. Use the +Add button to add new addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers; use the pencil icon to edit addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers; and use the ‘X’ icon to remove addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers
